low cost airlines are not for the middle class

many years ago, rockstars and hollywood A list stars were the elite group which could afford a flying journey, they were screaming through cities with their concordes while everyone else were still on foot from new york to LA....great, if you could afford one, the ticket price alone, its about a price of a good small car...

thinking this might not be the best idea to travel, the 747 jumbo jets came along to carry 400 or so people on board with the aim of reducing the cost of flying, bringing jet travel to the masses...great, but there is still a thing or two about it. you see...it cost an arm and a leg to keep those jets flying due to safety standards set by the government. these are all the cost added to the price of putting a bag of peanuts up 35000 ft. brilliant. but wait

just about less than a decade ago, the idea of low cost airline came up and it spread throughout the world like a stray dog with chlamydia..just about everywhere you see, there is always a low cost airline operating around your nose. this sounds brilliant, cheap flights, everyone could afford it. great.

but then, this whole idea soon becomes a flying bus, when you open the tray tables, you'll often spot a peanut ( if its clean) if you're unlucky, you might find some used toilet papers sticking to it. that sounds a little nasty, added to their highly un-delayed-able-time-schedule , the worst thing about low cost flying is the price. you see..the price alone for the flight isn't that expensive,in fact it is much cheaper than a taxi for 30 minutes...but soon you'll discover that the real price will burn a blackhole on your wallet..

to start off...the price which you have paid doesn't include check ins. to check yourself in at the airport...you have to pay...and to check in your bags..you'll have to pay too...and if you want them back...you'll have to pay another fee...fine..i know it cost some amount of money to run the workforce...

once you've decided on how many bags that you'll want to check in..you'll soon stumble across the paying fees...to buy the flight tickets with the options..it will cost you this much..DO i NEED TO PAY FOR WHAT I"VE JUST BUY?? it turns out that in order to pay for the flight, i have to be charged another £8....and you have to keep in mind, you'll still need to use the stairs to get up the plane even though you've paid so much...god have mercy on us...I paid £8 just to pay something which cost £70 and can't even provide me an aerobridge...

so there you are, if we're charge for every tiny little thing that the low cost airline offers, don't we all think that we should get like refunds for every thing which are not in order?? like if it delays, refund. wheels on fire, refund. engine failure, refund. seat belts aren't working, refund...the boring promotional message, refund.

added  to all the extra cost of flying cheaply, full fare airlines are still a better option if you do wish to fly.
